My Last Photo Shoot

My most recent photo shoot is one of my favorites: sunrise portraits. It was actually the subjects that made this photo shoot my favorite, because these portraits feature my grandparents. But the sunset is cool too. It actually took me a while to have the balance of the perfect sunset and the correct camera setting. I tried every setting that I could, and because the sunset is for such a short window, it was a little stressful. But, having my grandparents there made me feel much better. I finally found the correct setting to show the sunset and fixed the flash to the correct brightness so that my subjects could be illuminated as well. I love the way this picture turned out in particular just because of the added detail of the silhouette of the trees and the houses with the sun peeking through. Now, the sunset was actually pretty tame this evening, so I had to enhance the colors in post production, and overall, the whole photo shoot was a success, which is exciting because it meant I didn't have to shoot a second time. I think it took me over 150 shots in order to go about 10 good pictures. But in photography, that's more than enough.
