Photographs That Make Me Laugh

October 2, 2015: There are so many types of photos that make me laugh. Here are a few.

The first type of photo that makes me laugh is convergence. This is what happens when two things merge together. I like it because it looks like one thing is growing out of the other. For example, the picture below makes it seem as if the flowers are growing out of the woman's head. These photos make you double take and when you get a second look you realize they are two separate things. It's funny when you first look at it and it seems normal and when you really look at it what you find is completely unexpected. It's usually not ideal to have this type of photo in the professional world, but when it does happens, it's pretty funny.

Another type of photo I like is when there's a picture of something normal and then the photographer or editor adds drawings to it and the additions make the picture into a story, as seen in the picture below. In the photo, without the drawings it would've just looked like a couple of marshmallows. But, with the added drawings, it creates a lighthearted story of how three marshmallows lost a friend, which to me is really creative and humorous. A lot of these photos are made where an egg is cracked and a bunch of eggs are surrounding it with said faces drawn on them and they just make me laugh.

The next kind of picture that makes me laugh are ironic pictures. The photo below is ironic because it states that "Nothing is written is stone" when it had literally been written in stone. These photos make me laugh because they make you think about the backstory and just show funny situations. There are also pictures that are similar where it's a billboard for school and education and something is spelled wrong, which is pretty ironic. It's just funny when someone catches these funny moments.

I also really enjoy creative and fun pictures like this next one. Someone had peeled back an orange peel into the shape of a person and had it carry it's own orange, which is really cute. I like when people set up their photos by either carving something into fruit or arranging things to make something else like making a watermelon into a shark or banana into a dolphin. Just seeing the creativity of people's minds is a really enjoyable experience and never get old.

Lastly, a photo that makes me laugh is kind of similar to convergence. It's when a magazine or a picture covers someones face and it looks like it's that person's face like in the photo below. Sometimes, it's not even professional photography, it's just good timing where someone is maybe sitting on a park bench and has a magazine up to their face. This is another one of those double take moments because it looks like someone's face on somebody else's body, like a face of a model on an old man's body.
