Would I Want To Be a Paparazzi?

A paparazzi is type of photographer who takes pictures and videos of celebrities on red carpets, events and follows them in their everyday life. If I ever became one I would try not to harass or stalk like what a lot of paparazzi's do today, which is why they get such a bad rap. They are rarely respectful, invade people's personal space and they tend to be obsessed with being the first one to get a "scandalous" picture of anyone who has remotely any fame so they can get money. So, for these reasons, I would personally never want to become any type of paparazzi, mainly because of what type of people they are and what they represent.
I also feel like this type of job would be way too stressful. Constantly running around and following someone all day and never having your own life. And honestly this day in age and with the advances in technology, anyone can be a paparzzi if they wanted to because of camera phones. Smart phones these days have pretty decent quality, can focus and zoom in with a click of a button. Plus, if there's a celebrity around, that most likely means that there would be hunderds of other photographers and fans with their phones swarming around them trying to capture a picture and videos. So you would get pushed, shoved, and trampled all while trying to get a clear picture of that person. But, even if you did get a good picture, so many other people probably have the exact same picture. So then you would have to get it to a media outlet as soon as possible in order to get the highest pay you can. Doesn't feel worth it to me.
Now on the topic of getting into people's personal space. I would feel so bad about myself knowing that I'm exposing someone's personal life just to get a paycheck. Or that I'm imposing on someone's life when they might be having a bad day and might just want to be alone. Paparazzis don't even treat celebrities like human beings any more. If it were just a regular person this type of behavior would be considered stalking, but because the person is famous it's okay and the paparazzi is "just doing their job". I know if I was just trying to see a friend at a resturaunt or going for a walk I would hate having someone follow me around taking pictures, especially if they were being disrespectful.
I also don't really understand the concept of red carpet paparazzi. You're taking like one hundred pictures a minute of someone in the same pose while the photographer right next to you is doing the exact same thing. And you're constantly yelling over the people around you at the person you're taking a picture of to do a certain pose the whole night. I feel like that would get so redundant.
So, instead of a paparazi, I would rather work as a photograper for a maagzine or something of that nature. You would still be able to take pictures of celebrities, but it's a much calmer enviornment.
