What If Photography Was Never Invented?

Photography has had such an impact on the world. But what would happen if it was taken away or if it was never even invented?
First, there would be such a loss in the job market since photography is such a big bussiness. There are so many different types of photography that can be made into a career such as: bridal photographers, materninty photographers, nature photographers, fashion photographers, paparazzi and so much more. And models and editors and publishers of magazines wouldn't have a job because there would be no camera to pose for or any pictures to add to magazines. If photography was never invented then the people who are photographers now would be in a different field and would have never found their passion in life.
Continuing with jobs, with no invention of photography that means no invention of video. There would be no tv shows or movies which means not only would actors be out of jobs, but so would directors and producers and cameramen, the list could go on. A big source of entertainment would reduced to plays and books.
Next, there would be so many memories lost. If photography was never invented we wouldn't be able to capture special moments like a wedding or a birthday party. Pictures are taken so we have something to look back on and if we didn't have them then we might forget some really special times.
Expanding on that idea, we wouldn't have real or accurate images of history. Before photograhy was invented, people had to be drawn in order to have a self portrait or family photo. There would only be written documentation of things such as wars, important events like the civil rights movement and important people in the past. WIth photography, we now have actual images from events such as World War II and the visual images give us more of an insight of what's happened in history.
Also, I don't think the world would be as connected without photography. We could only be told what was happening from across the world but sometimes you need to see it to believe it. With pictures, we can see current events in places like Korea and Africa without actually having to go there and see it for ourselves. We can also see dream destinations without having to fly there because we can see it in a picture.
Social media probably wouldn't exist without photograhy. Apps like instagram and snapchat are completely made of pictures. We would be able to type things but we couldn't upload a photo or see other people's pictures because there would be no way to take them. Then there wouln't really be a need for social media and that's another reason why the world would become disconnected.
As you can see, photography is and will always be an important addition to the world. It creates jobs, preserves memories and keeps the world connected in a way that could never be recreated if we didn't have it.
